The boys did well last weekend against our cross-city friends from Hercules. Winning the toss and putting Hercules 3 in we restricted them to 152 with a combination of tight bowling and good fielding while regularly taking wickets. Sander was incredibly economical - 11 runs from 9 overs - while Dirk, Khalid and Sumit, with his first  Kampong wicket, all bowled tidily. Chief wicket taker was Stevie with 4 including the oppo's two better batsmen. Excellent catches also for Stumper Nic, Mark and Jochem. The Kampong reply was thunderous and expensive for Hercules in terms of balls! Eelko and Jochem hammered 77 off 10 overs before giving way to the middle order who continued in the same vain. Debutant Sumit was 26 not out with other contributions from Khalid and Dirk who keeps upping his season's average! So the target was reached in 22 overs and continued our 100% home form.

Sunday's game 27 juni Kampong 3 - Groningen CC

Groningen are top of the table and unbeaten this season. They beat us a couple of weeks ago but I believe we have a stronger team out for Sunday. Last week Groningen beat MOP. If we want to get back into the title race then this is the game to win!!
