Richard Cox, de nieuwe directeur (CEO) van de KNCB heeft op 14 januari 2010 een bezoek gebracht aan Kampong CC tijdens de Kampong Clubavond.
In een e-mail aan Floris Jansen vraagt hij iedereen die aanwezig was te bedanken.
Aan zo'n 30 leden van Kampong gaf hij uitleg over zijn plannen met cricket in Nederland. De bijeenkomst was niet alleen informatief. Voor alle aanwezige leden was het ook een bijzonder prettige en inspirerende kennismaking met Richard - die wij alle succes wensen in zijn nieuwe baan bij de KNCB!
In de onderstaande tekst geeft Richard een reactie:
I just wanted to say many thanks for inviting me to your club for hosting me so well and also for arranging the various people to be there on the night. I found it very useful and I hope they all found some of it interesting.
The clubs are a big part of retaining and improving the status of Netherlands Cricket and I hope we (as in everyone at the KNCB) can keep in close contact with you over the coming months as we move through an exciting season ahead.
Please wish all the players whether young or old, male or female, 1st team or veterans of the game every good wish for the summer. Please do not hesitate to contact me at anytime should you wish to.
I would be grateful if you would forward this email to as many people as possible at the club in an effort to broaden the communication links and to express my thanks to them all.
