Welkom op de site van de SV Kampong Cricket Club.
Op deze site vindt u alle informatie over onze club en cricket in Utrecht. Onze vereniging heeft een rijke historie met vele hoogtepunten, waaronder drie landskampioenschappen. Het cricket seizoen start in mei en eindigt in september. Wij hebben momenteel vier senioren heren teams die spelen op zondag en twee senioren heren teams (ZaMi's) die spelen op zaterdag. We hebben ook een damesteam en een leuke jeugdafdeling met veel activiteiten voor de jongste jeugd. In de wintermaanden gaan wij door met training voor de senioren en een cricket academie voor de jeugd.

Kampong is the proud owner of one of Holland's few grass wickets. Our other two fields have an artificial wicket. We also have excellent practicing facilities. These include 16 practise grass nets and two artificial practice wickets.
Our cricket club has 4 Sunday teams and 2 Saturday teams, all men. A ladies team, and a veterans team on Saturday.The cricket season starts in May and ends in September. During the winter months we organise training sessions for the senior members and a cricket academy for the youth players.
Our first team plays at the one but highest level after winning three national championships in the highest league in the late eighties and early nineties. It is ambition to get back to that top level. Our other teams play in the various leagues at various levels.
Our members/players vary from former professionals to absolute beginners.There is a youth department with players ranging from the ages of 8 to 18. Kampong CC is a home away from home for a lot of expats in Utrecht and the surrounding area. Being one of the largest clubs in the Netherlands we have a large contingent of English, Australian, South African, Indian and New Zealand players. Apart from playing cricket there are a lot of social activities like barbeques, parties and at the end of the season there is an annual club dinner. Every season there are cricket tours to England. A competitive tour at the end of April to Essex, a social tour to Lancashire and Liverpool in July, and a youth tour to Cambridgeshire in July. During the season we have a number of touring teams from England that visit Kampong for games and a few beers and dinner afterwards.
